Tandem jump from Colombier on Lake Neuchâtel

Take the plunge and experience the thrill of a lifetime with tandem skydiving

Our instructor and pilot welcome you to our dropzone in Colombier. You’re in his company throughout your adventure. First, you repeat a few movements and positions with your arms and head. Then he gives you a harness adapted to your size, as well as a helmet and goggles. Then, still accompanied by your pilot, you will board the plane with other tandems. We look at each other, joke and the stress gradually disappears. You can feel totally at ease with your experienced pilot. The plane’s pilot turns off the throttle and you’re off on your adventure. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the view from the air. Below you lies Lake Neuchâtel and the city. The aircraft reaches the jump altitude of 4,000 m after about 20 minutes. The big moment approaches and your pilot makes the ultimate check. You both propel yourselves out of the plane and the free-fall speed begins to accelerate. It’s all good! You’re plummeting at nearly 200 km/h and an exhilaration of joy comes over you. At a height of 1,500 m, your pilot opens the parachute without jerking. Speed is reduced to less than 15 km/h and you continue your descent under your open parachute. Your pilot directs you to the Colombier dropzone for a smooth, seated landing. Remember to keep a souvenir of your experience by ordering your video when you book on our website. For those who may be understandably apprehensive, the free-fall simulator offers similar sensations. We have a free-fall simulator in Sion (Valais) and another near Zurich in Winterthur.

Skydiving in Rarogne – Tandem jumping from a plane – From CHF 430.00

Tandem skydiving in Rarogne, Valais, over the Rhone Valley

It’s a chance to overcome your fears by stepping out of your comfort zone. Dare to do the impossible. Skydiving can change your life

First, when you arrive at Raron airport, you’ll be assigned an instructor-pilot from start to finish. He’s the one who gives you all the equipment you need for safety, with a harness adapted to your size. Secondly, your instructor will instruct you on how to position your arms and head during freefall. Then you take your place in the plane with your instructor-pilot. The aircraft at the end of the runway begins to roll, picking up speed and taking off rapidly with several tandems on board. The mood is jovial as we wait to reach the jump altitude of 4000 m. As you climb, you can see the Rhône plain below you. Then the plane’s pilot calls the GO, meaning you can jump. Your instructor-pilot performs a final check before moving towards the aircraft door. Then you both propel yourselves out of the cabin. Speed accelerates rapidly to almost 200 km/h. An adrenalin rush takes over you for a second, and you hold your breath for a moment. We’re doing great! The freefall lasts about 50 seconds, and the cameraman following you films the entire freefall. You reach 1500 m altitude and it’s time for the pilot to open the parachute.
Then comes an almost total silence and you realize that you’ve taken that leap and overcome your fear. Your pilot makes a very soft landing on the Rarogne dropzone. To preserve this memory, don’t forget to order a video or photos when you book on our website. If you’d like to take the plunge, but are still hesitating, then the flight simulator is for you. Today’s technology makes it possible to simulate freefall in a wind tunnel with virtually the same sensations. We have two free-fall simulators, one in Sion and the other in Winterthur.

On the Swissraft website, you’ll find a dozen dropzones in Switzerland at various airfields.

    CHF 430.00

Take a tandem skydive over the Rhone plain in Valais at Sion

Skydiving is a celebration of life and all the incredible experiences it has to offer.

You will be met by an instructor-pilot on arrival at Sion airport. Once you’ve been introduced, he’ll give you a harness that fits you and the equipment you’ll need. Then you rehearse a few movements and body positions with him, especially the head position for freefall. Everything is ready and you’re on your way to the plane. You take your place on board with your pilot-instructor and other tandems, just as eager as you are to experience the great adventure. A joyful atmosphere reigns aboard the plane, a way to relax and avoid being overcome by a little anxiety. Your experienced instructor knows how to calm you down if he or she senses the slightest sign of concern. It’s part of his training to instill confidence in his passenger. As you climb above the Rhone valley, you’ll enjoy the scenery. The aircraft reaches the altitude required for a safe jump. The pilot of the wide-body aircraft gives the GO to jump. You and your instructor approach the release gate. He performs a final check, and together you propel yourselves out of the aircraft. Then, very quickly, everything accelerates: the speed of the freefall reaches 200 km/h, the sound of the wind amplifies and whistles in your ears. Don’t worry, your pilot manages and stabilizes this free-fall masterfully. For you, it’s an exhilarating minute that fills you with joy. All legitimate apprehension has dissipated. You reach an altitude of 1500 m, at which point your pilot opens the parachute. Thanks to its extractor, opening is performed without sudden impact. Your cameraman, if you’ve ordered him to do so, moves away from you at 200 km/h before opening his parachute. Then the descent continues peacefully until a soft landing on our dropzone in Sion.
You want to take the plunge, but you’re still stumped. No problem! You can do a freefall simulator in Sion or in Winterthur near Zurich. The sensations are very similar to real freefall.
