Glider flight from SCHÄNIS – CHF 320.00

    CHF 320.00

Take off from Schänis for a 60-minute glider flight

This one-hour glider flight introduces you to another facet of civil aviation. Gliding is an experience that enthrals everyone who has tried it.

You take your place in the front seat of the glider’s cockpit. Your glider is then placed at the rear of the tow aircraft. The fifty-meter-long tow rope connects the 2 aircraft. Then comes the final check and the tow-plane pilot gives the GO for take-off. After a few dozen meters, you’re already flying as the plane rolls a little longer down the runway. Then the plane takes off and the climb begins. Your pilot releases the tow rope to free himself from all traction at around 1500 m altitude. The panoramic flight for your viewing pleasure begins. Today’s thermals are powerful and the pilot is enjoying himself, and you too. After an hour’s flight, you’re back on the runway at Schänis aerodrome after an impressive glide.

    Motorized glider flight from Grenchen

    CHF 330.00

A good gift to offer? What a great idea! Depart from Grenchen for a one-hour flight in a motorized glider!

Flying a motorized glider allows you to gain altitude without towing, before flushing out the thermal updrafts known as “pumps” in pilot jargon. The GROB G109 is a motorized glider with 2 side-by-side seats. With its relatively high glide ratio of 1/28, it’s the ideal glider/plane for year-round flying on the plains or in the mountains, especially when weather conditions for gliding are less than optimal. Depending on flight conditions, your pilot may allow you to take the stick for a few minutes. Swissraft also offers flights from Schänis in the canton of St. Gallen. Gall.
