From Schänis aerodrome, you take off towards the south-west. The Titlis rises to an altitude of 3238 m and is one of 57 other peaks over 3000 m in the Ural Alps. From here you have a magnificent view of Lake Lucerne. For the record, the Titlis was probably first climbed by monks in 1740. Some of the writings of the Engelberg monastery attest to this. You walk around the summit and then return to the Schänis aerodrome for a rest.

This one-hour glider flight introduces you to another facet of civil aviation. Gliding is an experience that enthrals everyone who has tried it.
You take your place in the front seat of the glider’s cockpit. Your glider is then placed at the rear of the tow aircraft. The fifty-meter-long tow rope connects the 2 aircraft. Then comes the final check and the tow-plane pilot gives the GO for take-off. After a few dozen meters, you’re already flying as the plane rolls a little longer down the runway. Then the plane takes off and the climb begins. Your pilot releases the tow rope to free himself from all traction at around 1500 m altitude. The panoramic flight for your viewing pleasure begins. Today’s thermals are powerful and the pilot is enjoying himself, and you too. After an hour’s flight, you’re back on the runway at Schänis aerodrome after an impressive glide.

The flight continues towards Obergoms, veering slightly to the right to fly over Brig. You’re crossing the Rhone; you’ve been flying for almost an hour and suddenly the Matterhorn appears in the distance. The mythical mountain if ever there was one. The Matterhorn is right next to you, and you can touch it with your fingertips. For your return flight, you’ll head for the imposing peaks of the Bernese Alps. Then you fly over Spiez and cross Lake Thun. Your pilot veers off slightly to the northeast and to your left you see Lake Sursee. The lakes of Baldegg and Hallwil pass by on your left, before you come to rest in Buttwil.

Parachute jumping in GRANGES – TANDEM JUMPING FROM A PLANE – From CHF 365.00
CHF 365.00Make a tandem parachute jump at Grenchen airfield in the canton of Solothurn
A must-do experience. It’s a chance to push back your limits and your fears.
First you’ll be greeted by an instructor-pilot in our dropzone at Grenchen airfield. Then you prepare yourself under the watchful eye of your instructor. You do some body exercises; position your head and arms during freefall. Secondly, you’ll need goggles, a helmet and possibly a suit. Then comes the moment when you board the plane with a little apprehension. Don’t worry, your instructor-pilot has thousands of jumps under his belt.
What’s more, during the ascent, which lasts around 20 minutes, you can enjoy the beautiful view from the airplane. The pressure eases and you relax a little. The pilot of the plane at 4000 m altitude gives the GO! You’re in front of your pilot and approaching the exit door. One last check and off we go at nearly 200 km/h in free fall. After around 45 seconds, your pilot opens the parachute and suddenly there’s silence, the sound of the wind fading away. You descend smoothly and land softly after a few minutes. Remember to immortalize your tandem jump by ordering a video when you book online on our site. What’s more, if you want to go skydiving on your own, you can do so with us. This is called an AFF jump and requires a day’s preparation. You jump accompanied by 2 instructors who will follow you throughout the freefall. As soon as your parachute opens after about 45 seconds, you continue your descent on your own. You are in radio contact with an instructor on the ground, who guides you through to landing. For the less adventurous, we have free-fall simulators in Sion and Winterthur. You get exactly the same sensations as in a real freefall.We offer numerous dropzones in Switzerland from various airfields, as well as in Germany near Basel.
