You arrive in Gisikon at the parking lot, where the guides are waiting to welcome you. Next, you don a lifejacket and receive a paddle. Then they explain the safety instructions during a briefing. You then board our rafts to begin the descent. From the very first meters, the excitement is palpable. The river offers a few rapids, but remains accessible to all. As you travel along the river, you’ll pass through magnificent scenery in the canton of Lucerne on your way to the canton of Zurich. Sometimes the current gets stronger and you have to paddle harder. At other times, the river is calm, and you can admire the surrounding nature. The descent of the Reuss provided a thrill for all. Tired but happy, you hop back on your bus and continue your field trip for further adventures.
