The ECUREUIL H125 is a 6-seater helicopter including pilot. It is a powerful helicopter also designed for transporting goods in high mountains.

Let two people in your circle enjoy this introduction to flying an Ecureuil H125 helicopter. Your instructor welcomes you. Then you’re off to the briefing room for a theory lesson on the helicopter and aerodynamics. Flying a helicopter is more complex than flying a plane, and requires a great deal of finesse. Particularly for take-off or hovering, you need to coordinate 4 controls simultaneously. Firstly, the collective, plus the throttle, secondly the cyclic, and finally the rudder at your feet. After this short theoretical course on piloting, you head for your helicopter on the tarmac. Your instructor invites you to inspect the helicopter with him. Everything is in order, and you can now take your place on board as captain. Contact us! You start the turbine, which emits a characteristic whistling sound on start-up. Then the rotor starts to rev up until it reaches 395 rpm. You have just received take-off clearance from the control tower. Here we go, you activate the general pitch (the collective) and take off smoothly.

The ECUREUIL H125 has 5 passenger seats and a single-turbine engine. This extremely powerful helicopter is used extensively in the high mountains of Switzerland.

After a brief helicopter theory lesson, you and your instructor will join the helicopter on the tarmac. You do a technical inspection of the aircraft and then climb aboard. You take the seat on the right, which is the pilot’s seat. Your instructor sits in the left-hand seat. You switch on the ignition and start the turbine; the rotor begins to spin, reaching 393 rpm. Then, once you’ve received clearance to take off, you activate the general pitch (the collective) in order to take off.

In Sitterdorf, you’d like to take part in an introductory flight in the COLIBRI H120B, a 5-seater helicopter with pilot included. This helicopter is equipped with a turboshaft engine.

The COLIBRI H120B is a very comfortable helicopter. It emits little noise in flight and can carry a load of 700 kg at sea level.

Your instructor welcomes you and takes you to the helicopter. After a technical inspection of the aircraft to ensure flight safety, you take your place in the right-hand seat. In a helicopter, the pilot’s seat is usually on the right. Then it’s time to explain the dashboard. Then you launch the turboshaft with its unmistakable sound, waiting for take-off clearance. The rotor starts spinning, reaching 410 rpm. You are totally concentrated under the watchful eye of your instructor, who is on dual control. The control tower gives you the go-ahead to take off, and by gently adjusting the general pitch you’re ready to hover. You’re gaining in confidence because you’re in good hands.
