The Colibri H120 can operate at altitudes of up to 6,000 m above sea level. It has a range of 730 kms. Your instructor gives you a quick helicopter theory lesson before you head out to the tarmac to join your helicopter. Together you inspect the aircraft and the instructor shows you the crucial areas to check for a safe flight. Now you climb aboard and take your place in the right-hand seat as helicopter pilot. Your instructor takes the left-hand seat. You start up the turbine with its distinctive whistling sound, and the rotor begins to turn until it reaches 412 rpm. You then receive take-off clearance from the control tower and activate the general pitch (the collective) to slowly leave the tarmac.

The Colibri H120 is a very comfortable helicopter, with a single-turbine engine enabling it to operate at altitudes of up to 6,000 meters. On arrival at Berne-Belp airport you will be met by your instructor. Then, after a quick theory lesson on the helicopter and its piloting, you’ll join your helicopter on the tarmac. You do a technical inspection of the helicopter and your instructor shows you the key areas to check. Everything is in order, the helicopter is ready to fly and you take your place on board. Roll it! The turbine whistle is heard and the rotor begins to turn. Take-off clearance is given by the control tower. You activate the general pitch (the collective) to bring the rotor rotation to 410 rpm. and take off smoothly.

Our helicopter takes you to the Napf region, the Emmental and Lake Thun. Then the Kander valley, along Blüemlisalp, and the Petersgrat glacier. You’re now in Valais, flying over the Rhône Valley, the Matter Valley. After flying over Zermatt, you arrive at the famous 4000 m-high peak: the Matterhorn. On the way back you stop off at the summit of the Petersgrat glacier (3150m.). A little coffee or a good bottle of wine to take with you as you stretch your legs on the glacier.
The return flight takes you to Breithorn, the Monte Rosa glacier and Pointe Dufour. Then the Saas valley, the Aletsch glacier, the Jungfrau, along the north face of the Eiger. Then you fly over Grindelwald and the Entlebuch community, before landing again at the Pfaffnau heliport.

A 26 kms Easy Rafting trip down the Aare River

Between Thun and Bern, your students will have plenty of time to chat with each other and swim in the Aare. An excellent choice for a school trip

During your school outing, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience: Easy rafting on the Aare. First of all, your guide welcomes you to Schwäbis/Thun. After a safety briefing, you climb aboard a large raft. Each participant is equipped with a life jacket and paddle. The adventure begins in the direction of Bern, the federal capital. The water is calm at the start, allowing us to get used to Easy rafting. The current then accelerates slightly, making the descent more exciting.
All along the way, the scenery is magnificent. The surrounding mountains and charming riverside villages will beckon. Sometimes you catch up with other rafts or canoes, which adds to the convivial atmosphere of this trip down the Aare.
Finally, after around three hours of pleasure, you reach the entrance to Bern. You disembark just before the Dalmazi bridge on the left bank, close to the Swiss Alpine Museum. This half-day was the perfect adventure, combining relaxation, fun and nature discovery.

For a sporty yet fun activity, Swissraft offers river descents for schools that are adapted to the age of the pupils.
